Procedure to Obtain Fire Safety Certificate (NOC)
The Fire Safety Certificate (FSC) is a mandatory regulatory approval required for the legal occupancy, operation, and maintenance of buildings where the inherent fire risk necessitates prescribed safety measures.
Buildings that specifically require Fire Safety Certificate (FSC) include
- Commercial structures such as malls, office buildings, and large business complexes.
- Multi-unit residential buildings including apartments and high-rise housing.
- Institutional facilities like schools, colleges, hospitals, and healthcare buildings.
- Industrial establishments such as factories, manufacturing units, and major storage or warehouse facilities.
- Public assembly buildings including theatres, auditoriums, convention centres, and similar venues.
In summary, Fire Safety Certificate (FSC) confirms that any such building complies with required fire-safety standards and is legally fit for occupancy and operation.
